This issue of "The Cultural Connection"
details many of the classes and courses available in the arts in
Huronia, including many courses provided by non-members of the HFA.
The Foundation wants to provide as much information on the local
arts scene as possible, and letting our members know what classes
are available is one of the ways we can do that.

This gala fundraiser will take place at the North Simcoe
Sports and Recreation Centre Saturday
October 4, 2008, starting at 5:00 pm. Upon arriving
at 5:00 pm guests will be treated to a cocktail reception featuring
the finest works from our Huronia visual artists. Our featured artists
are:
Deb
Grisé, amazingly vibrant colours Donald
Pettit, landscapes in oils Carol Currie
and Stuart Leggett, the palette of Huronia
While you and your friends are meeting the artists, you will
be entertained by the musical accompaniment of the Georgian
Strings.
Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available and a select
number of artworks will be auctioned off. This is your opportunity
to add to your collection.
An enjoyable dinner including local delicacies and complemented
by local artwork will begin at 7:00 pm. Once you are well fed
we will receive words of welcome from a number of dignitaries
including a special guest.
The Silent Auction results will be announced.
At
8:30 pm the evening becomes all glitter with a showcase of the
Performing Arts.
Sit back and be entertained by the best our area has to offer.
The evening’s line-up:
Children's Community Choir – Fresh from
their Carnegie Hall debut

and singing
