Calling all photographers
Photographs depicting life in North Simcoe will be published
this spring in a glossy, full-colour magazine called Mirror
Images. Amateur and professional photographers alike are
invited to submit their best shots. This is not a photography
competition. There aren't any prizes or judges. The goal
is to include at least one photo by everyone who takes
the time to make a submission, although that will depend
on the number of photos received and the amount of space
available.

"Meet and
Greet With Your Feet" Huronia Foundation for
the Arts presents Introduction to
the Tango Walk and Embrace,
with Roma Czech & Ray Overman
Bring a friend and be sure to come out to this fun and
exciting evening.
Learn to Tango with Ray and Roma.
Bring water, wear comfortable clothes, dance shoes if
you own them, if not, then thick socks. NO RUNNERS!
You'll stick to the floor!
Come as a couple (same sex, no problem)....come prepared
to learn and try something different. Class is about
1 hour long.
Roma was taught by her father Walter to tango at an
early age, and only after his passing, did she realize
how much she missed it. After considerable feminine
coercion, guilt and tears, did she convince Ray Overman,
her partner to take up the Argentine Tango. 'Tango Ray'
now practices in the aisles at the Home Depot in Midland.
A downhill ski racer all his life, Ray was introduced
to the Tango by Roma, and surprisingly it has become
his passion too! The turning point in his journey was
attending the Tango school in Italy.

Drayton Entertainment
and the King's Wharf Theatre present, "The
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"
Music & Lyrics by William Finn
Book by Rachel Sheinkin
Music Direction by Charles T. Cozens
An instant sensation on Broadway, this crowd-pleasing
production is the unlikeliest hit musical about the most
improbable group of heroes: a charming cast of outsiders
for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can
stand out, yet fit in, at the same time.
Journey through the hallowed halls of middle school for
a hilarious tale of overachievers' angst as six winsome
adolescent outcasts vie for the spelling championship
of a lifetime. As these pint-sized word warriors navigate
the English vocabulary, they learn important life lessons
as they take their first timid steps towards adulthood.
In one word, it's irresistable. Drat! I-R-R-E-S-I-S-T-I-B-L-E.
Drayton Entertainment
and the King's Wharf Theatre present, "On
Golden Pond"
An Ageless Comedy
By Ernest Thompson
Directed by Adam Furfaro
True love that spans the ages is explored with wit, wisdom,
and warmth in this touching relationship comedy.
Ethel and Norman Thayer are returning to their summer
home on Golden Pond for the 44th year for some much-needed
rest and relaxation. Their plans are thrown for a loop
when they unwittingly become wards for an unruly teenager
and are forced to navigate the generation gap through
zippy, tart-tongued observations on fishing, literature,
slang, marriage ... and their own mortality.
With its heartwarming message about celebrating the everyday
moments in life, On Golden Pond speaks to all generations
of theatregoers.
Drayton Entertainment
and the King's Wharf Theatre present, "See
How They Run"
A Marathon of Laughs
By Philip King
The idyllic village of Merton-cum-Middlewick becomes a
centre of chaos and confusion when the nosy resident spinster,
Miss Skillon, becomes convinced that her beloved vicar's
wife is having a scandalous affair.
Desperate to expose the salacious relations, a tangled
web of deception and deceit is spun as a visiting bishop,
locum priest, handsome American actor, and escaped prisoner
of war all get caught in the race to reveal - or conceal
-their outrageous indiscretions.
This classic laugh-a-minute farce will leave you in hysterics
as mistaken identities, swinging doors, and lunacy strike
again at the King's Wharf Theatre.

Dogs"
The Reinvention of Tap Dancing
Original Design & Direction by Nigel Triffitt
Music Composed by Andrew Wilkie
Created & Choreographed by Dein Perry
It starts like a rainstorm ... just a drizzle ... the
pitter-patter of a lone tapper. But before you know it,
the stage is rumbling, sparks are flying, and six incredible
male dancers are stamping their way across a construction-site
set made of steel.
Winner of eleven international awards, Tap Dogs has played
to rave reviews across North America, Europe, Asia, and
Australia. Running at 90 minutes, without intermission,
this spectacle is guaranteed to provoke as the sheer grit
and unruly spirit of swaggering workmen is combined with
the awe-inspiring fortitude of precision tap dancing.
Don't miss the energy...don't miss the sweat...don't miss
the hottest show on legs - the reinvention of tap for
the new millennium
